How can I define the calibration of Gravitational waves.

Hunt for Gravitational wave. Article by: Rahul Kumar According to Einstein, we should expect to find this radiation everywhere in space. So, why is it still one of astronomy’s most elusive targets? Gravity alters the shape of space and time. Paths of light and massive bodies curve under its influence. When something  Agitate  space-time with enough energy – say a supernova explosion – the distortion spreads out in ripples, like a stone  when  dropped in a pond. Those ripples or waves are called gravitational waves. But this waves are very weak and only if the accelerating object has enough mass, it should be possible to spot them. At least, that’s what we suspect. we’ve been trying to detect them ever since. In Einstein's theory of  general relativity published in the year 1916 ,  gravity  is treated as a phenomenon resulting from the curvature of  spacetime . This curvature is caused by the presence of  mass . Gene...

The journey of communication from set of Electronic chips to the Ultra fast Quantum machines.

Bose-Einstein Condensates Evaluated for Communicating Among Quantum Computers. Quantum computers promise to perform certain types of operations much more quickly than conventional digital computers. But many challenges must be addressed before these ultra-fast machines become available, among them, the loss of order in the systems – a problem known as quantum decoherence – which worsens as the number of bits in a quantum computer increases. One proposed solution is to divide the computing among multiple small quantum computers that would work together much as today’s multi-core supercomputers team up to tackle big digital operations. The individual computers in such a system could communicate quantum information using Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) – clouds of ultra-cold atoms that all exist in exactly the same quantum state. The approach could address the decoherence problem by reducing the number of bits necessary for a single computer. Now, a team of physicists at...

Is There Really Scientific Evidence

Science is completely dependent on evidence but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence..... I was reading an article by the celebrated Cambridge physicist, Stephen Hawking, titled “There is no heaven; it is a fairy tale”. It is an interesting read, although it lacks any semblance of logic does not present any scientific basis for his claims. However, when someone of his stature makes a statement, it becomes gospel truth for the gullible readers. He has written books, most of which, according to a great scientist, John OM Bockris, makes for an interesting read, but is far removed from science. Present medical science avers that patients with motor neuron disease should not live beyond a couple of years of its diagnosis. In the case of Stephen Hawking, this scientific rule has been proven completely wrong! We are glad for that. May he live long! If “science is measurement and measurement is science,” as defined by Mary Curie, heaven cannot be a scien...

"Visualizing The Future- HARVESTING ENERGY FROM TIDES"

My Theory on Structural Design and Mathematical Modelling of a Revolutionary  Uni-Directional Tidal Flap Turbine with Advanced Sea Bed Installation Methodology. The oceans have long been recognized as a potential source of energy. The ocean's motion carries energy in the form of tides, currents, and waves. The interest in tidal power is constantly increasing thanks to its high predictability, the huge potential of tides and the actual need for renewable energy. It explains the emergence of many tidal turbine designs, especially in Coastal Countries like India, often inspired from wind turbines. All of them are at a more or less early stage of development. But because of the high density of water, environmental drag forces are very large compared with wind  turbines of the same capacity. Therefore the knowledge acquired by the wind industry is certainly qualitatively useful, but it has to be reconsidered to be applicable to tidal turbines. ...

The 90years old Mystery of Ramanujan's last work - Unlocked

The Discovery of Mathematical Beauty " Mock Theta Function" on the Death bed. On 22nd December, the world celebrated the 125th birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan the man known for natural genius how hailed as an all-time great mathematician, like Euler, Gauss or Jacobi. In his honour, the Indian government declared 2012 as the Year of Mathematics. I pay my tribute to the great mathematical genius who unraveled the many dimensions of Mathematics by leaving behind 4000 original theorems, despite his lack of formal education and a short life-span.– truth, beauty, elegance, abstractness, certainty, fun. While on his death bed, the brilliant Indian mathematician SrinivasaRamanujan cryptically wrote down functions he said came to him in dreams, with a hunch about how they behaved. Now 100 years later, researchers say they've proved he was right. "We've solved the problems from his last mysterious letters. For people who work in this area of math,...

"Real fish follow a robotic one"

My theory on Structural Design and Control System of a Caudal Fin Robotic Fish. For nearly 200 years, engineers have been optimizing  one way of moving through water, essentially using a propeller. "Fish are very efficient," explained Xiaobo Tan, an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering. "They can perform very efficient locomotion and maneuvering in the water."  Robotic fish - perhaps schools of them operating autonomously for months - could give researchers far more precise data on aquatic conditions, deepening our knowledge of critical water supplies and habitats. There are two types of crescent-shaped caudal fin propulsion: one is the left-right motion of body and caudal fin, such as tuna swordfish and shark; another is the up and down movement of body and caudal, such as whales and dolphins. Both of them have the same principle.  Swimming models of fish are various depended on the types and species of the fish i.e. Eel s...

"Air Engine – The Future Of Next Generation Cars"

My Theory on Simulation and Construction of Single-Stage Reciprocating Pneumatic Transmission System Engine We power our vehicles today is based on the legacy of energy discoveries of the 1800s. Oil was first taken out of the ground in Pennsylvania in the 1860s.  When the automobile industry came into being, petroleum was the first candidate for the energy source. Even though the Great scientist and inventor of his time 'Thomas Edison' did build an electric car, but electricity was not as wide spread as it is now, so the power of the Rockefeller oil cartel won the day. But today we live in period we science has  penetrated ever smaller particles, but still we  are using the energy source which was discovered 150 years ago.  we should ask our self that do we still use candles to light our homes?  Do still we use tubes to power our radios and TVs?  Do still we cool our houses with blocks of ice?  and if the answer is No, no and no! Then why do w...

Normal Vehicle to Sport Utility Vehicles Made Possible

My Theory on 7 Speed Gear Gear Manual. The earliest form of a manual transmission is thought to have been invented by Louis-René Panhard and Emile Levassor in the late 19th century. This type of transmission offered multiple gear ratios and, in most cases, reverses. Almost all automobiles as of today are driven by internal combustion engines because of the high power to weight ratio, relatively good efûciency and compact energy storage associated with it. The major disadvantage with this engine is it’s incapability of producing torque from the rest, which is the characteristic of ideal traction hyperbola. This difference between characteristics curve of the combustion engine and the ideal traction hyperbola can be approximated by the use of a gear box. In this paper a gear box with 7 forward gears and 2 reverse gears has been described. A normal 7 speed MT requires 8 gear pairs to provide 7 forward and 1 reverse gear but this paper presents a novel 7 speed MT designed with just ...

Forget Solar Power, Human Power is the Future

That may be a little aggressive, but Princeton University engineers have developed a device that may change the way that we power many of our smaller gadgets and devices. By using out natural body movement, they have created a small chip that will actually capture and harness that natural energy to create enough energy to power up things such as a cell phone, pacemaker and many other small devices that are electronic. The chip is actually a combination of rubber and ceramic nanoribbons. When the chip is flexed, it generates electrical energy. How will this be put to use? Think of rubber soled shoes that have this chip embedded into them and every time a step is taken, energy is created and stored. Just the normal walking around inside the office during a normal work day would be enough to keep that cell phone powered every day. An application that has pacemaker users excited is the fact that this chip could be placed in proximity of the lungs and it would create natural power ...

"why the Universe is dominated by matter, not its shadowy counterpart antimatter."

Scientists decode why universe is dominated by matter. They have solved the puzzle of the universe being dominated by matter rather than its close relative anti-matter. Physicists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison made a precise measurement of elusive, nearly mass-less particles, and obtained a crucial hint as to why the universe is dominated by matter. The particles, called anti-neutrinos, were detected at the underground Daya Bay experiment, located near a nuclear reactor in China. Anti-particles are almost identical twins of sub-atomic particles (electrons, protons and neutrons) that make up our world. When an electron encounters an anti-electron, for example, both are annihilated in a burst of energy. Failure to see these bursts in the universe tells physicists that anti-matter is vanishingly rare, and that matter rules the roost in today's universe.  All the studies that have been done have not found enough difference between particles and anti-particles to expl...
